Authentic, delicious senegalese food![]() 7/9/03
Simply excellent food. I lived in Senegal for a year and the food at Joloff is the best approximation of the various "home cooked" Senegalese meals that I ate while there (it's WAY better than a certain Ft. Greene "Senegalese" restaurant which shall go unnamed). All the traditional dishes are excellent, including various Yassa, Mafe, and other sauces, and of course the national dish ThiebouDienne (literally translates as "rice and fish") is delicious as well. The service is adequate and the ambiance laid-back, so I wouldn't come here expecting a "fancy" experience, but the food is so good that I'd still highly recommend it. |
